Start with the level you need today. Move up when you want John to take more of the work off your plate.

Implementation capacity covers focused advisory, workflow, automation, research, training, and lightweight application work. Larger software builds, third-party subscriptions, usage charges, and specialized outside services are scoped separately. Unused implementation capacity does not roll over unless stated in the client agreement.

What Counts as Implementation Time?

Implementation time may include any of the following activities:

Configuration
Building
Testing
Troubleshooting
Documentation
Research required for a build
Workflow design
Prompt development
Data preparation
Meetings with vendors
Deployment work

Separately Scoped Projects

Larger projects that go beyond monthly implementation capacity are scoped, priced, and approved separately:

  • Complex multi-system integrations
  • Full custom applications
  • Large data migrations
  • Enterprise security or compliance work
  • High-volume content production
  • Extensive voice-agent deployments
  • Projects requiring outside developers or specialists

Data and Security Considerations

Projects involving sensitive, confidential, medical, financial, legal, or regulated information require additional review before implementation. The appropriate systems, vendors, permissions, agreements, and safeguards must be established before sensitive data is used. Third-party platform subscriptions, API usage, messaging fees, hosting, and other external costs are disclosed and approved separately.

Initial Commitment and Cancellation

Initial retainers begin with a three-month commitment, followed by month-to-month service unless otherwise stated in the agreement. This allows enough time to complete the initial review, build the first workflow, and see meaningful results. After the initial period, you can adjust or cancel with appropriate notice as specified in your agreement.

Answers about working with an on-call AI partner for your business.

Working With AI Guy John

AI Guy John is an on-call AI adviser, problem-solver, and hands-on builder for small and midsize businesses. John helps you evaluate opportunities, choose software, improve workflows, build practical systems, and manage what happens after launch.

You can ask a question, choose a ready-to-deploy package, or bring John a business problem that needs a custom solution.

An on-call AI adviser gives your business direct access to experienced guidance without requiring a full-time AI employee or internal department.

John can research tools, evaluate vendor proposals, identify workflow bottlenecks, recommend practical improvements, prototype solutions, build lightweight systems, and help keep those systems working.

An AI tool gives you capabilities. John helps you determine which capabilities your business actually needs, how they should fit into your operation, and what should happen next.

There is no predetermined platform agenda. The recommendation starts with your business problem—not with software John is trying to sell.

No. You only need to explain what is taking too long, costing too much, creating confusion, losing opportunities, or holding your team back.

John will help identify whether the right next step is advice, process improvement, automation, an existing tool, a ready-to-deploy package, or a custom solution.

Yes. On-call consulting is designed for questions that do not need a large project.

You can ask about software, automation ideas, broken workflows, vendor proposals, AI trends, team adoption, or whether an opportunity is worth pursuing.

Yes. You work directly with John—not a support queue, chatbot, junior consultant, or account manager.

John personally reviews your questions, makes the recommendations, and performs or manages the agreed implementation work.

AI Guy Direct is a private asynchronous voice-and-message connection to John. You can send a voice note, text, screenshot, link, proposal, or unfinished idea while the context is still fresh.

John personally responds with an answer, recommendation, or next step. Eligible consulting plans include a guaranteed response within 12 hours, often sooner, at no additional cost.

Still Not Sure Where to Start?

Bring John one business problem. You do not need a technical brief or a solution in mind.
